honestly I’m not sure if I liked this book or not. it’s definitely not a light read by any means… and I’m mildly horrified but also so intrigued??? what a weird fictional study of social media and those who moderate it. I wish the concept would have been focused on a little heavier than the unhealthy relationship that seemed to be the center of the story.

While there is a lot of content warnings for this book, it’s a lot less graphic than what it seems to be made out to be when I saw reviews. It is primarily an insight on the effects of being desensitized/over-exposed to disturbing media online than about discussing the disturbing media.

Interesting topic but it fel  unfinished. I actually got to the last page and was confused where the rest of the book was? I understand its a novella, and short books are great, but I feel that it ends abruptly and prematurely, seemingly without intention. Other than that, I found the character to voice to be strong and the plot to develop well. These two aspects benefited the

reveal of sexual coercion

quite well, while majntaing the blurry uncertainty of the setting & storyline. I would have loved to delve further into how the main character - either growth or devolution.
