Bett and Avery stole my heart in this story told in letters and emails. This was a sweet story of friendship and love. I enjoyed the parent-trap vibes as first Bett and Avery wanted to separate their Dads, and then became best friends and tried to bring them together. The ending was not exactly what I was hoping for, but I loved how in this story, family ran deeper than blood. Gaga was a delight!

Pitch perfect middle grade fiction! Bett and Avery did not end up at the same summer camp by choice and, despite the best plans of their respective single dads who want to start a family together, the girls do not intend to become friends. But just as Bett and Avery's relationship becomes more supportive, their dads' relationship hits the rocks. This book is full of wonderful characters and packed with surprises and fun.

"Here's to love. Here's to us all!"
Just the book I needed at such a dark time in my life. Think The Parent Trap but much much cuter! My heart is so full โค๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’™

This book was so sweet and FUN! What great protagonists and a great cast of secondary characters. I get why it is called a modern-day parent trap; it is the charm of that without all the problematic elements. Highly recommend! And if possible, the audiobook is great; there's a full voice cast and sound effects!
