Thanks to netgalley for the chance to read this book.

Another great book from Sarah.

When Gayle has an accident at work, her daughters Samantha and Ella rush to be by her side despite not seeing her for the last five years. Gayle starts to regret not contacting them in the time as she finds out she has a granddaughter called Tab. Ella tells her that her, her husband Michael, Tab and Samantha are spending Christmas in Scotland. Gayle tells them she wants to go with them and make up for lost time. Will they be able to repair their relationship or will it end in disaster.

Firstly, I would like to thank HQ and Sarah Morgan for giving me early access to this book through Netgalley. Unfortunately, I was only able to read it after publication and therefore purchased the kindle book to read.

As much as I think it ended quickly, I do think Christmas day was a good stopping point. It felt right after the build up of whether it would work out or be ruined. I just hope the author writes another book with these characters because I've grown to really enjoy them.

I think the author did a great thing in this book when Gayle burst out about Santa not being real. We all know we can try our best in situations but we do have limitations and by the author including this it makes the story more realistic in my eyes. I think the other characters covered it up pretty well too. Also really glad Ella stood up to Gayle. Their relationship definitely needed the honesty and boundaries in order for it to work out.

I wish the chapters were titled differently 'Chapter One - Gayle' etc, but I do think the different perspectives helped to give an all round view of the characters and that little bit more insight. I didn't expect to enjoy Gayle's chapters as much as I did so that was refreshing too.

Even though I do feel that Brodie and Samantha's relationship can be seen as rushed, this does happen in real life sometimes when your walls are broken down and you're the real you with someone. Plus we don't actually know whether they work out, it could have just been a whirlwind holiday romance which does happen.

Overall, this book covers a whole load of content while still being uplifting yet realistic. It didn't knock my socks off, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I didn't reach for it, but once reading I got completely submerged in the story! I hope the author writes more books with these characters as I have really grown to enjoy them!

A typical fluffy Christmas read, but I particularly enjoyed it because it wasn’t all about romance (though there was some of course!) but two grown-up daughters reconciling with their tough estranged mother against the backdrop of the Scottish Highlands at Christmas. All were well developed characters each with their own stories, and I wish I could go to Kinleven! Enjoyable Christmas read

One More for Christmas by Sarah Morgan is a delightful holiday novel about family, forgiveness and love.

Gayle Mitchell is a successful career woman but she has no personal life. She has worked hard to build her business but she is estranged from her two daughters Samantha and Ella. Following an accident, Gayle begins rethinking her past choices. She would like to reconnect with Samantha and Ella but is it too late for them to fix their fractured relationship?

Samantha is the oldest and she continues to look out for her younger sister. Although they live in different states, they are still quite close and Samantha is a frequent visitor at Ella's house. Samantha is the owner of travel  company that focuses on holiday vacations. She spends long hours working but she is close to her employees. Shocked to learn of Gayle's accident, Samantha rushes to her mother's bedside.

Ella is married to a wonderful man and they are parents to their inquisitive daughter Tabitha. Ella and Michael are deeply in love and she is very content with her life.  Unlike her much more contained sister, she is quick to express her feelings but she does shy away from confrontation. Despite Samantha's attempts to protect her, Ella makes arrangements to see Gayle.

Ella and Samantha's interactions with their mother are awkward as they tiptoe around their estrangement and the secrets Ella is keeping. Both are absolutely shocked when Gayle expresses her desire to spend Christmas together. However, Ella and Samantha's attempts to avoid spending the holiday with their mother fail miserably. And due to Ella's white lie, they are traveling to Scotland for Christmas.

Samantha reluctantly makes arrangements to visit a possible vacation destination in Scotland.  The  estate and property are breathtakingly beautiful and absolutely perfect for her business. As the lovely surroundings and the McKintyre family work their magic, Ella, Samantha and Gayle try to heal the rift between them. And as Samantha helps plan their joint venture, will she unexpectedly find love?

One More for Christmas is a heartwarming holiday novel with a slight romantic element. Gayle is a little difficult to like initially, but she undergoes a wonderful transformation over the course of the story. Ella is fun-loving but she needs to learn to stand up for herself. Samantha comes to an uncomfortable conclusion about herself and she takes steps to change some aspects of her life. The Scottish highlands are vibrantly brought to life and serve as a gorgeous backdrop for this heartfelt story.  Sarah Morgan brings this marvelous novel to a sigh-worthy and uplifting conclusion. A lovely holiday read that I recommend to fans who enjoy family-centric novels.

Thank you to Net Galley for giving me an advanced copy of this book. This is not my first Sarah Morgan book and it definitely won't be my last. She is quickly becoming one of my favourite authors!! This holiday book delves into the feelings and animosity that can occur in a completely disfunctional family and what holding back truths can do to relationships. I loved this book from the start to the finish. Both families in this book have struggles to deal with and both eventually find ways to deal with their struggles and come together to enjoy the holiday season. The relationships in this book are not unlike what many families are probably dealing with and it is lovely to read how each member of each family find their way to solving their issues and reuniting into a stronger family unit. All of the Sarah Morgan books that I have read so far are about family dynamics and this book is as well. She has a way of developing strong characters, yet vulnerable at the same time. You will fall in love or hate with each character but by the end you will fully understand each character and be cheering them on. This is an extremely enjoyable holiday read!!!

Sarah Morgan has done it again! She's an expert on writing family dramas in Christmas times, that leaves you with a cozy feeling.

This is about a mother, Gayle, that has raised her two daughters with so much tough-love that they haven't talked in five years. The two sisters, Samantha and Ella, have always love Christmas even though they never celebrated Christmas as children. Their mother choose to work instead...

Now Gayle had an accident and start to question her choices with her daughters. How come they don't want to talk to her? To try to mend her relationships with them she wants to spend Christmas with them. Too bad they don't want invite her...

The three women are pretty strong characters and their relationships are difficult, except the one between Samantha and Ella. That's lovely. The setting is romantic and I immediately want to go to Scotland

Another great Christmas read from author Sarah Morgan. On top of magical Christmas in Scotland with reindeers, it’s hard not too get attached to the characters and different relationships of this story. Happy Christmas reading!
