The Name of the Rose is a story about trying to find meaning in a world which seems to hold none. It also has monk yaoi. Would recommend very much.
Graphic: Religious bigotry
Moderate: Death of parent, Fire/Fire injury, Torture, Death, Grief, Homophobia, Murder, Toxic relationship, and Suicidal thoughts
Minor: Pandemic/Epidemic, Antisemitism, Vomit, Sexual content, Misogyny, and Sexism
It's all handled very well, and none of it comes across as bigotry from the author. Most of the content warnings are inherent to the time period/ institution, and are there for the purpose of critique by the author.
