I thought this would be a great book to read, but it was so boring. I have read so many vampire books that this was just another one that had nothing exciting going on. There was no description of the love he felt for Meredith and when they went to Elycia there was no suspense or terror. I couldn't get into the book and it was boring. I don't plan on getting the second book in the series.

All-in-all: Perfect read for reluctant reader. Good story, great character.

I read this because a DARLING student lent it to me. It wasn't really my cup of tea, and I don't plan on reading the series.

This book was poorly written and very poorly edited. The dialogue was stilted and unrealistic, the humor was cheesy and unfunny, and the story was boring. Very disappointing.

An interesting plot with very likeable characters, stained only by what I see as a relatively poor writing style. A good book for those interested in vampires, but less so for those looking for a deep, philosophical read. Still, I am planning to pick up the second book, having been intrigued by the world created by that of Heather Brewer, which is a bit refreshing from all of the vampire romances I have encountered recently.

Vlad is an eighth grade boy who steers through the hurdles of life. As well as, the added pressure of hiding his vampire traits. Very good book!
