Anderson's writing is smooth and engaging. The serial killer plot is compelling with a truly nasty villain and some exciting action scenes. That said, it is rather easy to identify the killer, and the investigators make several investigative leaps that defy logic.

Erin and Darsh's romance is enjoyable. They are both appealing and likable characters, and their chemistry is engaging although not as intense as some of the other couples in the series. Moreover, as their backstory plays such an important role in their relationship, it would have been a good idea to include their initial encounter in a prologue.

Overall, a solid addition to the series.

This one was better than the last one I read. Both characters were very very likable and I connected with Erin a lot more. She was given so much shit for doing her job, and it got to a point where I wanted to flip a table on her behalf. I liked her a lot and felt for her. Singh was a pretty decent guy and was very supportive, so they made a good couple, but professionally speaking they were also a pretty kickass duo. As for the case, the perp gave me the creeps. He was seriously a PSYCHO. The things he did, the lengths he went to, and the obsession he exhibited... Man.

Well done!

This is Book #6 in the series. Erin has had a hell of a year. The new year didn’t go well either for her. Now she has to deal with an FBI agent, Darsh Singh, who she met 3 years ago when she picked him up in a bar. Will Erin decide to take a chance on love? I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Cold Justice Book Six

After recovering from the conviction of a serial rapist in a small university town, tragedy strikes again with the gruesome murder of the former rapist's girlfriend. Now the FBI is called in to determine if the two crimes are connected. Agent Darsh Singh must figure out who the new killer is and if the detective of the rape case could have made a mistake. Detective Erin Dononvan is horrified at the thought that she put away an innocent man, but still believes that he was the culprit. In a town where most of the population hates her, Erin is still intent on protecting the residents of her town.

Audio Review:
Eric G. Dove narrates this series and distinguishes the characters well. He doesn't over-dramatize the actions of the characters, but lets the story play out. In a mystery, this type of narration is key.

If you're looking for a twisty-turny mystery with a bit of romance thrown in, this is the book for you!
