I never even knew key parties existed, so reading about one wasn’t on my “bingo card “, but I did enjoy the book. It was also interesting reading about a female character who really could be called a grinch. But this book totally fascinated me! Sydney and Dennis are a wonderful couple . Overall the book was a fun, festive, and spicy book! I received and advanced readers copy, but my review is unbiased!

Not my normal read, but I was looking for a holiday series and this one sounded cute enough. It started out great and was really funny, but the spicy scenes quickly took center stage and were the majority of the book, which dragged it down for me. Spice doesn’t bother me, but in this case, I felt like we had a solid foundation that wasn’t fleshed out enough because the focus was more on the sex. The scenes were also really repetitive and so many were essentially exactly the same…same spice, different location. 😂 Even with that, the series is written by various authors and the town set-up has potential, so I’ll continue the series for now.

Sydney and Dennis are the perfect textbook Hallmark story. You have a grumpy Grinchy Sydney who has some unresolved parent issues when it comes to the Christmas spirit. Coupled with an overly eager Cindy Lou who type in Dennis. This childhood friends, missed connections, reconciliation romance is the perfect story to curl up with your hot chocolate or phallic shaped frozen eggnog snack, in front of a fireplace and escape to the picturesque town of Evergreen Lake.
