Really cool insight into one of the greatest sports apparel companies in the world. Teaches you a thing or two about resilience, patience, willpower and a love of the craft as necessary traits that can build an empire from nothing.

I’m glad I read this book. It was relatively quick for quite a long book. The story is enticing enough to make you want to keep reading to know how they got of each situation, but it did drag a little. The culmination leads to Nike going public with a short chapter at the end highlighting more current events with the company. It’s an inspiring book to know that they didn’t always have shit figured out while building this massive corporation. Highly recommend to anyone who has an entrepreneurial spirit but is maybe held back by wanting everything to be perfect first. Knight shows that is not needed or the case to make something great.

Oh man, what a memoir!

"Jeez, Nike is really kicking Adidas's ass "

I didn't know that ADIDAS and PUMA were founded by two German brothers who despised each other.

Fun facts:
- Johnson, Knight's first employee suggested the NIKE name, when the name came to him in a DREAM.

-The founder loved Dimension Six name for the brand, but everyone in his office hate the name and mocked their boss. Can you imagine if the brand name was Dimension Six instead of Nike?

-NIKE - The meaning of Nike is victory, The Greek goddess of victory.

This memoir was funny and beautifully crafted. I loved how Knight described his mother's personality, that her facade could be deceiving.
