What an amazing fucking book. I can't believe I saved some of my absolute best reads until the very end of the year! This was amazingly well-written, compulsively readable, and it made me feel so much. I think I'll be morning Calvin Evans through most of next year but hopefully that will be offset by how much I'll be celebrating Elizabeth Zott's accomplishments.

Elizabeth Zott is a queen. Big fan of the dog, six thirty, who doesn’t love a talking dog that’s smarter than some humans. Overall a good story. The best parts were on the set of the show which I thought would be a larger portion of the book.

I couldn't deal with the sections written from the dog's perspective. I get what the author is doing with them, but it just didn't work for me.

Some intense and sad scenes but overall an interesting story about a woman in science.
