Elizabeth Zott is a beautifully written and very well thought-out. She’s a refreshing character, and while frustrating at times, Garmus did a brilliant job of making you really feel for her.

the part right after my initial dnf portion was when the story picked up and snowballed fast. i think i got a bit too impatient with the storybuilding that the second act was a quick read.
i could not stop thinking about how k-drama-esque this book was lol and i mean that in a good way, im glad i gave the book a second chance.
that being said, the plot driven second act is probably what got me thru the book. and the dog.
____________
maybe i will give this book another try in the near future, however, the book never grasped my attention while reading. the story and character building were good but, the dog felt unnecessary(?)... maybe i just needed to keep reading for the dog haha
as someone who has read a lot of books with diverse characters and non-fiction books about feminism/by feminist authors, this book was just surface level white woman feminisms-- this is prob what made me feel slowly more disinterested in the book
regardless, i am willing to give this book a second chance as i am curious as to how it ends
