I give a 5 to Keret and a 3 to El-Youssef. The final piece by El-Youssef seemed to go a bit in circles and without a strong intent. I think the author wanted to demonstrate the restless nature of the main character and how his life is based on drugs and last options, but meh. Keret, on the other hand, was funny, had something important to say in each story, and delivered his message in a way that was not heavy-handed.

This is not a bad book. I just couldn't get myself to finish... I should stop trying to read short stories - not for me.
