Where on earth was the flipping warning with this book? Who on earth let it get published with that title, cover, and review on the cover? And the back? Why was there no warning? Why did I think “paradise” would be a lovely summer read? Nope, nopity, nope. I was BAWLING! I’m mad that I didn’t see this coming and that I felt more for characters I only knew for less than 100 pages than the two main characters! BAWLING! The feels all hit at the end and I never recovered. The forty-ish pages after didn’t help! They kept the tears coming because I didn’t freaking RECOVER YET! For goodness sake, at least warn a reader before ripping their heart out and tears from their eyes. The beginning of this was slow, so slow I was considering taking a DNF. But I’m stubborn so I kept reading. Then I fell for Sadie and then Sadie and Felix. Ted could’ve been removed because he added as much flavor as a salt-free saltine. And then it happened. And then I BAWLED. Forget Lucas and Marin, I want my Sadie and Felix. I want to know that this isn’t a romcom and it isn’t “paradise.” If the writing of two characters in only 1/3 of the book made me loose it that much, then clearly this author has talent and the story is good, but freakin’ WARN A GIRL! 3.5⭐️, 1🌶, ⚠️😢😭💧🪣🌊

This book was funny, romantic, beautiful, and also heartbreaking. The side characters were great, but the story really revolves around the two sisters Sadie and Marin. It is a wonderful read, but be ready for tears.

If you’re looking for a happy, romcom story, this book is not it, despite what the cover may depict.
I like the letters that tell the story from different angles and going back in time , they bring depth to the story.
Marin is a lovely character though it took me a few chapters to actually like her.
I think Lucas was my favourite character, he has it all!
