Overall, I think this book did it’s job well.

I found there were some moments were I found the theology questionable, but these were often small throw-away sentences - not chapter focuses. These minor disparities did not take away from the sound perspective offered in each chapter. As a whole, the book looks at matter-of-fact things and offers undeniable analytics of biblical passages to guide the reader to help answer the questions they might have through the Bible and explore what God has to say about concerns we might face in our modern lives.

The book has an interesting format. Each chapter stands alone from the others, they do not build on each other directly and are not designed in such a way that they have to be read chronologically (although personally I did read it cover-to-cover). Instead the book is designed that people might be able to flip to which ever chapter focuses on the question they want an answer for at the time.
The chapter almost feel like reading biblical research articles - the book has a rather academic writing style and each chapter includes subheadings and quotes. This makes for a slower read. However, the authors still use a very relatable tone and include anecdotes in each chapter as well as sarcasm and other small jokes (what I am saying is it is by no means a heavy read -academically).

This book did take me just over four years to get through, reading on-and-off (mostly off). However, despite that, I do not think the book was written poorly or was unhelpful, just that I was probably not the target audience.

If you have some burning questions about/for God - the book might give you some answers. The book is short and simplistic but offers concise perspectives and answers to some of the most asked questions for God from Christians and non-Christians alike.
