So there were some things I really loved about this book and a few I really didn’t. I did enjoy reading it as whole though.
First, I thought it was unique that we start the book with FMC in an established relationship with 2 guys and then one is added as the book goes on. I also really enjoyed the steamy scenes of this book. They were what really kept me hooked when I was struggling a bit to get into the story.
I also really loved the development of Derek’s character. His plot line was the best part of the book for me. He’s one of those characters who is a real jerk but you can just tell there is a good guy who just needs to be loved under it all.
The part of the book I struggled with was the FMC. I personally like my FMC’s to be more on the tougher side, so I found Lennon to be a bit needy and the way the guys treated her was a bit childish at times.
Things really ended on a high note (no pun intended

Ok. I need a head count:
Who here has ever been victimized by Jenn Bullard???!!!
Book 1 of the Darkest Nights Trilogy is a dark, bully, contemporary, rockstar RH, with MM, MFM, MMFM & a delicious dose of MM bi-awakening.
Our FMC is a survivor. She can be a little bit of a needy BRAT, but if you've ever survived childhood trauma ~that tracks. We get to witness her deal w that trauma in a healthy way through music & lots of steamy stuff

The writing style was not for me. It needed a better editor - way too much exposition and not enough character development or world building.

Another amazing book by Jenn. I love how she is able to weave difficult topics that no one wants to talk about into her character’s lives and it is always spot on. This book is definitely on the

Are you interested in music? Hot guys and girl and some veeerrryyy steaming scenes in the bedroom? Past trauma to grow from, all the drama and mystery? Then this is definitely the book for you! Please do check the triggers though, mental health is important!
I really liked The Darkest Chord. It starts with Lennon and her two guys who have a very romantic, intense relationship and then you have Derek incoming, a "not so friendly" person from Lennon's past who's growing more and more into his own throughout the story.
There was a part in the middle where everyone just kinda kept busy in the bedroom and the story didn't progress all that much, but it definitely picks up again and ends in a major cliffhanger.
I'm really looking forward to book two!
I received this book for an honest review.

That being said I love the pain, I love how this book builds you up just to break you apart... definitely mind the triggers but oh I need to see what happens here and how this can... yeah...

Holy moly I loved this! It was a fun spin on a harem because three of them already were a thing at the beginning of the book. While I was reading this initially I was like ok where is the chaos….well then the book ended and there was all the chaos! Jenn did such an amazing job making me love all of the characters even the side characters. I am excited to see where this story takes us!

There is a lot to unpack in this book. I love all the characters, especially Lennon! There are so many twists and turns, and I can’t wait to see where the story goes from here. Definitely check the trigger warnings and beware of the cliffhanger.
