The end is the beginning and the beginning is the end.

Wow, wow, wow, what do I even say? One of the best books I’ve ever read. The AGGGTM series is all five stars! I genuinely loved this book. Holly did an amazing job tying it all together. Everything came back into a perfect circle so neatly.

When I first found out Pip was doing Xanax, I felt so bad for her and how she was still struggling with Stanley’s death. I never really thought the Jane Doe case would fix her like she thought it would, and when she started getting stalked I was concerned. Page 80 Pip did an amazing job yelling at Hawkins about how she had to do his job for him, justice can only be found outside the law, Charlie was right, and she hoped they would never find him.

When we learn about the DT Killer and we saw the email in Andie’s drafts everything comes together so much more. As soon as I saw that email I thought it was Jason Bell but Pip was bringing up good points for Daniel. I picked up on the issues throughout the Bell family, him being gone the night of the last murder, and him being so closely linked to the police department.

Chapter 10 was so powerful how Pip talked about everything coming back around. This entire book/series how everything is linked and the end and beginning are blurred because it’s one big messy circle was amazing.

When Pip got kidnapped and taken I was in shock. When Jason admitted to killing Barney that was the most upset I was, even more proof he was that absolute worst of the worst. I was so scared for Pip but I knew she could escape. The chapter detailing her escape was slightly confusing to follow because I couldn’t picture her movements and how she was moving the shelf. When she dropped the hammer on her way into the woods I was like whyyyyy? Once she got to the woods about to escape but turned back, I did think she made the right move. She was right that Hawkins wouldn’t believe her, he hadn’t before, the police had let her down so many times. Further proof that justice can only be found outside the law. But when she hit him again and again and again I definitely thought she took it too far. But I could see where it was coming from: that red rage we had seen in her so many times before.

After the murder I really did not think she was going to get away with it. The amount of stuff she had to do to cover it up was so large but the idea to change the time of death with temperature from the beginning of the book was so smart. I loved the extreme detail with everything she and Ravi did to cover it up. And while it is in that grey area she mentioned throughout the book, I understand why she did what she did. When Hawkins got her to admit they were her headphones found in Jason’s drawer I felt she was too quick to give up when they could’ve found an excuse, like Ravi ended up doing. And the ending… wow. When she broke up with Ravi it was just so sad. The very end when it says 1 year and 7 months later it is insane to think about the fact that she didn’t talk to any of those people for almost two years until the trial happened. And of course the ending, so sweet, only 3 minutes after the verdict. I like to think that they are back together and Pip finally gets to live the normal life she wanted.

Overall I absolutely loved this series, the characters were amazing and I loved their relationships. I’m extremely impressed with how everything ties together throughout all the books and all of the incidents in Fairview. Sad to say goodbye to some of my favourite book characters.
