This only covered the first 5 or so chapters of the first book, so I was more than a little confused when it ended very abruptly. This sells normally for ~$30 on Book depository, but I picked it up when it was on sale for $4 because I really enjoyed the hush hush series. This was the first graphic novel I have ever read and it was interesting. I just didn't like how they over-sexualised Nora. She is a smart, conservative character, and the clothes they drew her in didn't even cover her ass, and they drew her bloody nipples showing through her shirt in every single picture. Her freaking nipples. The characters looked nothing like how they were described in the book

Reading the story through the graphic novel reconnected me with the characters I grew attached to while reading the series. While the graphics are beautifully done, I'll admit that most of the characters didn't look like I imagine them, but it wasn't hard to see who was who even if they wouldn't have been named.

Someone who has not read the series would be able to follow the story and love it. Keeping in mind that they can't put everything from the book into this graphic novel, I think they did a wonderful job at keeping what was essential to the story and toss out what could be left out.

The only thing that disappointed me really was that it stopped before any of the real action began hahaha I need Part two now.

I wish there was a volume 2. The only problem was the fact that Derek Ruiz sexualized the hell out of Nora, and why did Vee look like that.

I didn't think it was that bad. I don't think the character matched. Vee didn't look like I thought she would and Norah could have used some clothes... Patch could lose the hat..

They are supposed to be like 15 but are dressed like the target demographic for this book is gross 40 year old men. I feel extremely uncomfortable.

I picked this graphic novel up knowing it was bad. But I didn’t expect it to be THIS bad.

First, why is Nora blonde and practically wearing 0 clothes (even at school)

Patch looks like a pedophile.

Vee is supposed to be a little thick with long hair and TALL. But in this novel she’s huge with short hair.

It’s like the illustrator didn’t even read the book before drawing the characters.

And this novel covered like maybe the first 4 chapters? Hardly enough to enjoy.

The only thing I really enjoyed was the short stories written at the end lol.
