Although brief, I did enjoy this little biography of Venus/Aphrodite and her impact on the ancient/medieval/modern world. Some parts I wished went into more depth about her "reign" as a goddess, since it is mentioned that she was worshipped for four thousand years before the rise of Christianity. But I did appreciate the analysis of her ancient impact and how she parallels with aspects of Christianity today.

An enjoyable perspective on desire through the lens of the goddess of love.
