I would highly recommend this book to someone looking for a delightful, well-told story that teaches us how to have compassion for our soul and the souls that surround us (hence the four stars). However, as a psychology major, I would not recommend this book to those looking for a well-researched book about therapeutic techniques. Although steeped in "therapy talk," this book does not include the necessary research to back up Gottlieb's claims. For example, much of what Gottlieb says about Freud has been debunked.

Couldn’t get over her calling her ex “Boyfriend” instead of giving him a fake name. And also was making me overthink my own therapy.

I liked it. It was not only a humorous story, but it was full of emotion and honesty it just simply summarized the turmoil of the human existence. If you've ever wondered what your therapist is thinking; either as a person or as a therapist, I recommend this book.
