There's good bones here. It was a little bare in some spots as far as details go and the ending fell flat but judging the author's other works I believe she left an opening for a series. The sex scenes got a little repetitive but I still enjoyed the book.

I normally don't read urban lit because as a black woman I find it woefully unrelatable. Folks finding Jesus all hither and yon and a stereotypical stream of hood shit.

This was not that. These characters were fleshed out and three dimensional. These characters were likable instead of pitiful. Nice work.

This was an easy and quick read. I liked it, but I felt the author needed more character development, giving each their own "history" and details. It felt quite rushed, and somewhat superficial.
