Loved reading about a cat and her adventures/shenanigans and her pondering about life π«’π±π

I was a little confused about the ending, but adored this graphic novel. Great art work. Each page really stands alone as vignettes. And I could really relate to this cat and her existential ponderings.

Doug bought this for me as a surprise and it was such a sweet and darkly funny imagining of what goes on in a catβs mind. Between the boyfriends who are her toys, the dark portal of the door, and getting high on catnip Penny stumbles from ennui to existential crisis. Honestly, very relatable!

Weirdly a little heavy for a graphic novel about cats but π€·ββοΈ To each their own. Maybe not super my thing because it was so philosophical but still a fun read

Another contender for my top graphic novels of the year. Penny (the book, not that cat) captures the existence of a house cat perfectly while existentially musing on the purpose of life. The floor portals and zoomies scenes were hilarious! I already could barely stand to leave my cats alone for a long weekend and now it's going to be that much harder! The illustrations are gorgeous and Penny's facial expressions are identical to my cat Calvin's. I also enjoyed the glimpses into the humans lives, relatable.
