So good! Was honestly surprised at how well star wars adapts to manga, and I'm definitely gonna read other high republic stuff to see what was happening elsewhere in the time period that gets alluded to!

The pacing of this volume is crazy - a lot happens over a very short read, every event feels weirdly sudden, and characters just kind of pop up as being important without a lot of context.
Despite that, I really enjoyed this volume, even though it's been far too long since I read the first one. I feel like a lot of the weirdness around Lily's relationships with others has dissipated, since we see her guiding the younglings and Keerin a bit more while seeking advice from other masters, not simply being lost without them. She is growing, but she no longer feels like a padawan with her own padawan.
It is a good reminder that I really need to read the other High Republic books, though, since this takes place concurrent with the end of Phase I... but oh well. Still enjoyed this a lot, still waiting for volume 3.

I should have probably read 1 first but I read this one first and that ending made me feel insane. I need to know what happens next. TELL ME WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!

A bit more engaging than the 1st volume. Hopefully it will keep improving.
