REVIEW FOR THE WHOLE SERIES
I like the drawing style and the love story is pretty cute. It follows some pretty generic tropes but BE AWARE: it is not purely a romance series! It tackles some very serious traumas, in a quite delicate way too, which i do appreciate.
However, it is an old series, so I find that some of the ideologies pretty outdated and can be somewhat harmful(maybe?). But I can acknowledge that it is a product of its time, therefore, I'm willing to overlook certain aspects. This same story in a more modern settings/mindset might have been excellent.

1.25
If this is meant to be realistic, then Japanese high schools were terrifying in the 90s. A girl nearly breaks another girl's fingers over a boy, and a boy threatens to murder a girl if she keeps hurting the girl from before. These kids do not act at all like children, and that's a serious flaw. Overall fairly disturbing, especially the pedophile teacher who sexually assaults the main character. And it's supposedly fine that the love interest doesn't comfort the MC after witnessing this assault, doesn't have her report the assault, and says that if she's going to allow herself to be sexually assaulted, she should turn it into prostitution??? What the fuck is going on in this book??? On top of eveything, the pacing is way too fast. The main characters falling in love doesn't feel believable. The events in this volume should have been spread out into at least 2 or 3 volumes.

Moderate: Abandonment and Car accident
