Edgar Allan Poe is just about the only author from his time that I am an undying fan of. Why? He was original for his time. He just was not going to be all la-la-la-la-romaticism. He was going to take the sublime to the next level and make it absolutely so unbearable that you say "OK, OK, I can't sublime anymore." It's that darn good.

Don't really have much to say except I enjoyed the stories and poems, and I especially like The Black Cat because the essay I wrote about it got me into Honors English. :)

I will pick this back up eventually, but I’m taking a long break since this is the entire collection of his works, and is quite long!

I fell in love with Edgar Allan Poe in the 7th grade when I had to do an English report on him and his works, and I have never looked back. They're terrifying at times, and definitely creepy for all the rest of those times but once I start a story or poem I can never put it down. I have never been a huge poetry fan, but I can never say no to a read of Annabel Lee.
