This is my first official manga read! And how can you not love one piece? I’m hesitant to “review” anything of this since i'm a mugiwara ( 麦わら帽子) baby/novice buuuuuut the art for this art is INSANE. These are so many amazing panels that would be tattoo worthy. Plus in this arc we get some of (my favorite girl) Robin’s backstory and complicated heart wrenching display of love/friendship from her.

We started water 7 and boy howdy is it kicking. The series has emotional stakes for the first real time and given how effectively it’s built up the dynamics and how much humor it stuffed into the last arc, the contrast is effective. It’s nice that 300 chapters in the story can still be taken in new directions and so much of the characters has yet to be revealed. Usopp v luffy fight is the saddest thing yet and it’s really building usopp up with integrity, emotions, awareness. He’s going from one of my most meh characters to a close favorite.
