An entertaining mystery with a lot of humor, some ethnic flavor, and some emerging issues in the field of AI to think about.

It takes place in the present, but somethings about it seems vaguely futurist, like things awaiting us around the next corner if they’re not already here. It kind of put me in the mind of Philip K. Dick and William Gibson.

I love a fun little murder mystery novel that features complex family dynamics.

I had such a good time with this. I loved the plot. I thought the mystery was really well done.

Also loved the characters. Claudia and her family members are all so flawed but you can still see how much they love each other. I think this was such a realistic portrayal of family, especially a family of colour.

The writing was fine. Definitely easily readable and kept me hanging on my a thread. 

I thought the whole angle of dating in the digital age to be quite interesting. Loved everything about that. 

This was a good time and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
