Alcuni racconti sono di una bellezza sconvolgente. L’ultima parte del libro è pregna di tutte le inquietudini che, lentamente, l’han portato a togliersi la vita a soli 35 anni. Una raccolta che lascia il segno. Anzi, probabilmente più d’uno.

Genel olarak hoşuma gitti. Raşomon'u zaten biliyordum daha önce ama diğer öyküler de güzeldi bence, özellikle Sonbahar ilgi çekiciydi. Akutagawa'nın diline ve yazım şekline hakim olduğum için çok zorlamadı. Raşomon sanırım favorim oldu. Filmini izlemiştim ve hoşuma gitmişti. Bazı yerlerde filmin daha başarılı olduğunu düşünüyorum Kurasawa sağ olsun. Genel olarak kitap hoşuma gitse de karakterlerin biraz geride kaldığını olaylara daha çok odaklanıldığını düşünüyorum. Buna rağmen sevdirmeyi başarması da aslında Akutagawa'nın yetenekli olduğunu gösteriyor. Japon edebiyatında klasik olarak geçen bir öykü olduğu için Raşomon kesinlikle okunmalı ama beklediğim kadar da mükemmel değildi.

I've read an extended version of the book (about 42 stories). It is a great collection to get acquainted with Akutagawa Ryuunosuke and I enjoyed like a half of them. Some stories made me think and their depth make you want to reread immediately to get to the point. However, other stories are a little boring and way too simple. Overall, I would recommend the book, especially for traveling or if you don't have much time. I bet you'll find at least one story that will blow your mind.

I think this collection serves as a really good introduction and presentation of Akutagawas work and I enjoyed every bit of it. I loved his writing style that was so simplistic yet poignant all at the same time and the stories while often sad or even some disturbing were a delight to read and immerse myself in.
