Pleasure lives in the tension between desire and its satisfaction. It hangs suspended between having and wanting.

The writing wasn't bad, but it wasn't very good either. The characters and the story line made no sense whatsoever. Overall, it was just meh.

I received an ARC of this novel thanks to the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review. My thanks for the opportunity.

Very odd. I thought I would get a story with a branched plotline, which sounded interesting. Instead I got linear fiction. I was plunged into what felt like the middle of the story, which was very confusing during the first few pages. Then there was an odd mishmash of detective-and-ghost-story, of which neither was explored in a satisfying fashion. And the ending was non-sensical. A failed experiment, as far as I am concerned.

Free, ARC, provided by NetGalley, thank you!
