What a heartwarming space adventure! A fun, light hearted story with a found family at the core of it. Chambers weaves intricate world building into her story in a subtle but impactful manner, leaving me wanting more by the final page. This story is for cozy readers who enjoy heavy world building and character building. There is tense moments that feed the plot but the majority of this story is about friendship, love, and being your most authentic self. The pace is medium leaning to slow. If you are expecting an intense fast paced space opera this isn’t the book for you. But I found it’s slower sweetness to be a welcomed change in my usual high paced rotation of sci-fi novels.
