basically if magic was technology set in a fantasy world. The magic is built on a system similar to science, mainly reminiscent of computer programming lol. Not really my vibe but still enjoyed it.

5 stars for the pure uniqueness of the world and the mechanics of the magic in it. I've never seen stories with magic that works quite like this, and it's really cool. It took me a little bit to get into the story and the characters, but once I got there I was totally invested and look forward to reading the next books. Hope they live up to their beginning.

The writing style isn’t my favorite. Chapters are split up into fairly short chunks, often a page or less, in a way that feels unnecessary and a bit choppy. I love the magic system though, very unique and very detailed! The characters are also really interesting. Even if I didn’t love the writing style, I did love nearly everything else.
