Would be a 5/5 if there weren't so many weird parts/tropes !!!

It was okay... not as good as I'd expected it to be.

This was one my first mangas that I’ve read but it’s one of those ones where when I remember it all I have attached to it are good feelings so yeah.

I never really add manga to Goodreads because then my yearly goal would be filled up way too quick but this has been my fav since middle school so it deserves a log.

I feel like it is a sin to say this, but so far I like the anime better than the manga. The translation I have is very choppy, confusing, and hard to follow. I'm sure it is probably way better if I could read Japanese. Who doesn't love Usui though?

The strange thing is that the concept isn't really the main focus of the story. There is more focus in Misaki's school life as the student council president and learning to get over her sexism against boys. The maid life really doesn't have a lot focus in the story. I am not sure how I feel about Usui, I mean it seems like he genuinely cares about Misaki, I just question his methods in winning her over. Otherwise there are some genuine moments in this series.
