An interesting take on loss. Loved the format and perspective. A great book for anyone dealing with any type of loss.

A good book if you need a little boost. Instead of focusing on the death of a loved one, this book focuses on the “little” everyday loses that we all experience. Not every chapter will apply to every person, but I do think there is wisdom in this book for everyone. I love Theresa Caputo and her personality, which made the book fun to read (considering the topic). Overall an enjoyable read, and I’ve already recommended it to some friends.

Good Mourning is an excellent book to read especially in 2020. The book is all about daily losses and how we all have them. These daily losses, might be the loss of your favorite ring, or a good friendship. However simple it may be I love how she states it’s still a loss and you still have to go through some sort of grieving phase over it. I think these are very helpful stories and tips to just about everyone. I also love how Theresa Caputo writes as if she were speaking to you personally and not through a book.

I absolutely love Theresa Caputo. Even if you do not believe in mediums, this is a great book. She goes into "spirit" but she focuses on how this helps you. It felt as if you were having coffee with Theresa. Each chapter is a new way of mourning something you have lost, like she has (divorce, torn ACL, not wanting to leave her house, among other things). This is definitely a book I would relate back to for different life events. I lost my dad at the end of last year, so when I saw this book, I was like perfect! I was shocked that it would help me with losing other things as well. Theresa is just so personable and down to earth. She ends each chapter with a little exercise on what you can practice from that chapter. I will definitely be buying this book for my mom to read as well. Thank you Netgalley for the ARC.
