I received this book as an ARC via Net-galley

Olivia has nine weddings to attend during the next few weekends and after multiple horrible dates, she just doesn't think she can face going to them stag. Ian, her best friends baby brother, offers to be her date for all the weddings. He has had an unrequited love for her for as long as he can remember and thought that moving away from his hometown would get him away from Olivia and his crush and he could get over it. Seeing her has squashed all hopes of leaving that crush behind.

Olivia has never ever thought of Ian as anything but her friends kid brother. Now dancing with him and being close to him has her thinking very naughty thoughts. She's trying to keep them under-wraps but sometimes you can't hold back what is dying to come out.

Nice short novella. Easy to read and the flow was good. Hot sex and grown up issues that weren't danced around. I had a bit of an issue with the repetition in his head of how much he loved her and how long he had loved her, it just seemed to go on a little too long. All in all it was a great book that took no time to read and I enjoyed it thoroughly. You won't be disappointed with this!!

Plus One is a fun and sexy story that is a super quick read but gives you enough character development and story to really enjoy it. The whole friends to more in a book has always been one of my favorites and it is easy to get right into it with Olivia and Ian.

Olivia is sick of the dating scene and just happens to have a bunch of weddings she has to go to over the next few months but no date. Enter Ian. Ian and Olivia have been friends for a long time as she happens to be best friends with Ian’s sister Emma. When he takes Emma’s place to make the “emergency” call during one of Olivia’s dates, he finds out about the weddings and offers to be her “plus one”. Never mind that he has secretly (or not so secretly to some) been in love with Olivia and the second he offers to do it, he starts to wonder if he is setting himself up for some serious heartbreak.

I loved reading the banter and seeing the relationship that Ian and Olivia had. It started with the first phone call and carried all the way through the book. Also, when they finally do get to the sexy times…perfect. Even I may have to claim Ian as one of my favorites…just saying. He’s smart, sexy, and wants more than just a hook up…he wants the whole relationship thing with her.

If you are looking for a quick and easy read, this may be the one for you. For me, characters make the story and sometimes with a shorter novel it is tough to do. Not so here, Walsh does a great job of creating a believable story along with some great characters.

Cute! I didn't realize this one was a novella at first, so I thought things were going awfully quickly. I'm glad it was a short story with a quick and tidy resolution!

This is a fun short read. Ian and Liv are interesting characters who have been friends forever. I found their romance interesting and enjoyed reading it.

This was a short, fluffy read that I really enjoyed after all the heavy angst I've been reading lately. Well written. My only complaint is it was too short... didn't give me enough time to really invest in the characters.

It's no secret that I'm always a sucker for books where the hero and heroine are friends first. Unrequited love that has a happy ending is one of my favorites. Plus One hit the spot with that theme. Olivia has had terrible luck in the men department. From creeps to flat out weirdos. She has come to the conclusion that she's never going to find someone worth her time. For me, this was one of those stories I could relate to when it came to that. I've dealt with some crazy guys in the past myself.

When Olivia's friend Ian steps up and offers to be her 'plus one' in a slew of weddings she must attend, she agrees. What could be better than spending the evening with someone that knows you well. No more awkward dates are needed! It makes perfect sense. Except, Ian always had a crush on Olivia and she was totally oblivious.

One of the things I liked most about Plus One is that in this type of story it's usually the female lead that has a crush on the guy and he doesn't realize. The switch up is a fun twist! I really enjoyed that.

Also, the sexual tension between the two of them was smokin' hot. It's obvious there is a serious connection, physical and emotional, but both of them do their best to fight against it in different ways. Ian is afraid of getting hurt, Olivia is just confused about these feelings she's having. Neither of them wants to ruin their friendship.

These two characters are the type that you just want to smush together and MAKE them kiss. Just so they'll see what they are missing out on. Luckily, I didn't have to do that and they got their HEA. Yay!!!

Brighton Walsh tells such a great story. Plus One is sweet, and sexy. My only tiny complaint is I didn't want it to end!

This was my first read by Brighton Walsh and it won't be my last! I really enjoyed following along with both of the characters as they tried to move from friends to lovers to more. The writing is crisp and fun and I had a hard time putting it down. A great read!

I loved this novella! It was so adorable and oh so sexy! I wish it had been a full-length novel because I could have read so much more about this couple!
