A very atmospheric short story about a young (lusty) woman who marries a small town preacher of some rigid Christian offshoot. As the title suggests water is the main theme in this tale. It's very well written and also kinda odd. Like is it a fairytale or isn't it? There is no specific time mentioned but it feels like it's set in the 30ies. I wish I could find more of Vina Green because she is a superb author.
