The author's other works never really caught my attention, but this one seemed right up my alley! Unfortunately I just wasn't into it :(

It’s definitely not bad just super YA and insta love, but I will be reading the second one so there’s that? Good if you’re looking for a trashy book
Graphic: Animal death and Child abuse

In the beginning I wasn't sure I wanted to read this book, because even though I like supernatural creatures,I am nt very fond of werewolves and wolves. So I heard that the trilogy is good and I decided to give it a go. And I wasn't disappointed. Sometimes I felt like it was your average-werewolf-teenage-drama kind of book, but it wasn't that bad.

I really enjoyed this book. It seemed like it took me a bit to get into (but looking back, I think I was just so busy I couldn't find time to read). The story was amazing though. It was very different from most of the Werewolf stories I have been reading. Most werewolfs are still relatively human in wolf form. But not in this book. I think this made it more interesting for me because it was a different wolf behavior from the norm. There were some parts of the story that really tugged at my emotions. I love a story that literally makes me feel what the characters feel (happyness, sadness, anguish, etc). I did have a hard time with the layout of the story though. This is just a personal issue. I don't do well when each chapter is written from the point of view of a particular person. Then the next chapter is somewhat the same storyline as the previous chapter, just from a different persons point of view. When I read a story like this, it is hard for me to keep up. I have to keep looking back at the chapter heading to remind myself whose point of view it is. Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I am looking forward to reading Linger.
