Basically a manifestation book. I need to practice some of the meditative suggestions.

I still remain slightly skeptical of this book and of the author and what he is trying to sell, especially post glancing at other reviews. I have not done the weeks of meditation training he lists out in this book. However... the chapters about the "science" of it and the benefits of meditation (and also mind placebo-ing yourself I guess) has really resonated with me and there are several things that I do want to apply in my everyday life from this book.

I'm not necessarily into the mysticality of it all, but I'm in favor of making myself a more joyous, compassionate, healthy person and that's mostly what is discussed here. Good job Pinterest recommendation! This read has definitely shaped my new year and inspired me to dive more into meditation and the genre of self improvement books.

If you previously understand the neuroscience, then you can cherry pick out the accurate information such as "neurons that fire together, wire together" and can take away the basic components of CBT, how your thoughts impact your feelings, which impact your behaviors. But he discredits himself with the tumor stories of people being magically healed by just changing their thinking, and it ruins the rest of the book. It's basic premise is basically manifestation, but there are definitely better, more accurate, and scientifically based books that can explain that, without his magical thinking and flowery, verbose language. It definitely taints the book and I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone

This was a challenging book, but not in a bad way! Challenging because its content brought so many things to reflect upon and that's why it took me so long to finish it.
Overall, the book is good. As I mentioned, it made me reflect about the way I'm leaving my life and this is good. The questions and the suffering (sometimes) made me realise I have such a full life and everything that is not the way I wanted yet, I can have if I keep focus on it. My favorite part of the book was how the author explains (based on science) how to get rid of what is limiting you, but most important, how to recognise it in the first place.
I'm giving 3.5 stars only because I don't agree with everything he presents to the reader and how, sometimes, he makes feel easy to change things in your life. You just have to want and manifest it to the quantum! I know it is not THAT easy, so in my opinion I think the author could have been more careful in choosing certain words within the book.
Apart from that, I highly recommend the book!

First tip: read the physical copy of this book rather than the Kindle/ebook because it will be easier to use the resources. Other than that, it was a very interesting exploration of the power of manifestation. Lots of compelling concepts to explore and it all culminates in you cultivating your own practice of the techniques. Helpful to have the background info AND the how-to.
