‘this is what she has always wanted to avoid: being forced to pretend men were interesting’ damn she just like me fr

i love reid’s storytelling and style of writing and tone, but there is just SO much happening in this story. chapter after chapter new plots and characters are being introduced and most of which don’t really count for anything in the end.

Wow I enjoyed this book. I listened to it as an audio book and I've never been so attached to a bunch of characters as I was these characters. It all felt so real and it felt like I was a part of their lives. This book is the only book that really made me feel that way. It was extremely powerful and I think the author is extremely talented to come up with a book like this.

every part of the book was realistic and you could imagine it happening in real life. I think that is what made this book so incredible. It's not often you find a book like that.

You'll get attached to the characters and feel what they feel. You'll laugh when they laugh and cry when they cry so prepare yourself. All in all it is an easy read but it definitely has its tough moments. I really recommend that you listen to the audiobook, it made it ten times better.

Reid knows how to tell a story. I was drawn in immediately. I was amazed at the diverse amount of characters she could introduce that I cared about so quickly. It was glamorous, but down to earth. I loved the shorter sections as we progressed - it became very propulsive.

Clean rating - there was a lot of language, multiple on most pages, some open door scenes, drugs, partying, alcohol

not a terrible book, it’s definitely a quick holiday read but it doesn’t really leave you wanting more or incite you to think.
i wouldn’t not recommend it but in my opinion it’s not a very enlightening book
i also found the characters far too perfect and it was really hard to connect or feel empathy for them
taylor really makes it an easy read tho and as much as i wouldn’t deem it a masterpiece i did really enjoy the structure of the story and how it flips back between the past and the present.
(the source of the fire tho? absolute jokes, wayy too easy)
