Stop playing with my emotionsssss

I did wonder why the shinobi don't care about individual lives at all and instead function as a pack, but "Gabimaru the Hollow" stood out from the rest, but I don't think I could've ever predicted the extent of this wow. Gabimaru is so cool, the way he handled everything was amazing. "Most respected current Gabimaru" akjdfhasdf of course he has his adorers honoured to die at his hands (I mean have you seen him with those vines on his face 👀). Shija tho, she takes it all on a whole different level. I'm torn on loving her chaos and badassery while also not wanting her to get between Gabimaru and Yui.

YUZURIHA IS ALIVEEE!!! WE CHEER!!! But looks like we'll have to sacrifice another life for her return. Not gonna lie, Fuchi wasn't my top tier favourite character of the lot, and I wasn't feeling that down in the drenches when Shugen sliced him, but that conversation with his past self, and the way he patched up Tamiya in the last minute 😭 poor dude just wanted to continue his research noooo

Shugen's gotta go man. The longer he's around, the more danger the Yamada-Asaemon-Criminals gang is in. Like yeah he is an eye candy, but is it worth my favourite characters potentially getting killed? The executioners standing up for their criminals 🥺 "Criminals, but not villains" ughhhhh my heart

The way Rien took a blade to their eye and spat it out of their mouth- I'm seeing

I thought Zhu Jin was the weakest of the lot, which didn't make sense as they're the first Tensen antagonist we encountered and the one who killed a beloved character, but looks like bro got a power up 💀 not looking good at all

Hell's Paradise is really getting into the climax of the series and that is abundantly clear in this volume. The battle between the first and second groups is kicking off, which also provides the perfect opportunity to provide more backstory on Gabimaru. We get great character backstory in this volume and so many wonderful character moments. Things are ramping up and I can only anticipate even more violence and bloodshed to come.

Some of my favorite panels in the entire series.

Fuchi was too good for this world. I can't be mad at Shugen because he wasn't, but damn. That entire sequence hurt.
