Things are happening !! Mwahaha 😂 the reason this doesn't get 4.5 stars is because things only picked up in the last 30% and I wish there had been a bit more plot earlier in the 1000+ page book

I believe this book is really when Sanderson's Stormlight Archive begins to shine for the masterful world and character building done on the first book and through this one.

Man, I almost didn’t make it through this one - the second quarter of the book really dragged for me. But halfway through? Once the story finished setting up, it never stopped and only kept ramping up. Why are these books so LONG?! Frustratingly amazing read.
ETA: The longer I sit with this book, the more I love and appreciate everything about it. This may actually be one of my favorite books. 5 Stars ⭐️
