I LOVED THIS BOOK. I laughed out loud and sobbed at the end. This rom-com has some heavier themes and really dives into familial relationships. I blew through this in 24 hours, and it is narrated by one of my favorites (Queen Julia Whelan). This is maybe my favorite Emily Henry. First person POV.

Oh wow... this book really surprised me with how much I loved it. In the beginning I LOVED the humor and banter but then I was a bit concerned that it was going to get a bit over-the-top, but luckily that didn't happen and it just ended up getting better and better with every page. The chemistry and banter between Charlie and Nora is honestly masterfully done, and their back-and-forth throughout the book was so effective and made me feel so much. As they started sharing things with each other, my heart swelled for both of them, and even more so by the end 😭 They're an amazing and beautiful couple and I adored everything about them.

Plus there is a great sister relationship in here and a lot of grief from Nora's mother's death which really added to the depth of the characters, even though I probably could've done with a bit less of it. The direction Libby's storyline ended up going was really beautiful but I do think it was a bit too sad and went on a bit too long for my taste in a book like this (because I'm more so looking for a feel-good romance with added emotional depth).

Aside from a number of small things that I took issue with, this book was so so amazingly written, incredibly funny, emotional, gorgeous, and hot. Some of the writing made me really think because there were some really fascinating ways of putting emotions into words. Emily Henry is probably one of my new favorite authors and this might be one of my new fave books...?! We'll see how I feel about it later because I just finished it but either way I really really adored this book!
