Once again, Christie exceeds all expectations as Poirot sets out to solve a murder from sixteen years prior - watching him glean the truth from five completely different accounts of the same event made for a thoroughly satisfying conclusion and spoke to the theme of how our perspectives can distort reality.

This one is once again not the best Christie. The story is repetitive as we discover the same events over and over again from different prospectives. We do get quite a bit of Poirot in this one but he doesn’t seem like the Poirot we know and love. The plot is clever but the ending was pretty guessable.
