The themes of the crumbling English aristocracy in the 20th century, nostalgia and coming of age were well represented but the story was underwhelming. It was so difficult to finish because the thought of reading it bored me. I’m glad I finished it because the ending was quite good but overall it just didn’t make me feel anything.
