Such a good story for any age! Exciting and super cool the way she used real life tech to imagine future tech in her book

One minor critique below...

Spoiler

The one part that was "weak" was when Cruz's feeling about being expelled for something he didn't do. It was his dream to go to this academy, and I felt he didn't show the appropriate amount of sadness for being expelled. But obviously he would be reinstated at the end, so that might be why the author didn't elaborate on how sad he was.

This came highly recommended by a third grader at my school. He loves this series and told me I must read it. :) I found it enjoyable and can see the appeal -- danger, adventure, cool technology. I liked the "Truth behind fiction" part at the back of the book that talks about the real life explorers, scientists, photographers and inventors and what technology is real as well.

*I got this book form the publisher for my honest thoughts*

I found this to super fun read. I thought it was much more realistic and science heavy version of 39 clues. This book def had a strong mix of adventure and mystery but also knowledge and history and science. I really loved the structure of this book and all the characters were just so much fun to read about. I really enjoyed the trio of characters that developed and am super excited to see how the ending and will effect the structure of the future books. I also loved how this book had so many pictures to accent the story. Readers who enjoyed 39 clues may like this if they looking for more of realistic story, should check it out! I am def going to read book 2!

Ihan kelpo sisäoppilaitoksessa tapahtuva jännitys-/seikkailukirja, jossa on enemmän kuin tarpeeksi vaaroja. Tarina on tosin painotettu hieman epätasaisesti: alussa kaikkea kuvataan tarkasti ja yksityiskohtaisesti, mutta puolenvälin tienoilla tarinan vauhti alkaa kiihtymään entisestään ja lopulta juoni jää hieman rymistelyn jalkoihin. Plussaa hienosta värikuvituksesta sekä lopun pienestä tietopaketista, jossa esitellään mm. oikeita tutkijoita sekä keksintöjä, joista tarina on napannut itseensä inspiraatiota. 3,5 tähteä 3 tähteen.
