The ending kind of let this one down a little. I just didn’t like that
Spoilerthere was a quick confrontation with Muffin and then all of a sudden she’s free of a curse because she wants to be.

The ‘kink’ in this one was that he used her hair to tie her down lol

I was liking this novella - it was a fun twist on the original fairytale and for such a short story Myles did a good job of giving us enough to not feel too terribly rushed or short-changed. Of course don't expect great character development or a lengthy courtship (just not possible in this many pages), but I've read enough romance novellas to say I felt like this one didn't annoy me with how quick everything happens or how little we get to know (and therefore care about) the characters, so job well done there. I'm also a big fan of fairytale rewrites and so far I've enjoyed how this author plays with the genre. Where this went wrong, however, was the ending... without spoilers I'll just say I felt genuinely cheated, plain and simple - what a let down. This is the second book I've read in the series (the first being one of the longer stories) and I wasn't pleased with that ending either... This author isn't perfect but she does a great job in my opinion of balancing quirky humour with steamy romance and the twists she gives to these fairytales are fun and inventive, so I really hope she works on improving her endings... it's one thing to want your characters to get their whimsical happy ever after, but these stories feel like she got to the endings and honestly just gave up, and all the writing leading up that point deserves better than that. Heck, Muffin deserves better than that! Please write better endings to Muffin's wacky fairy godmother "fixes".
