This is the perfect book to read after a breakup! Its goal is to remind you of who you are & what you deserve. This one is for all the girls who wasted their time on a love that wasn't watering them. I wish I had read it sooner!

Thank you, NetGalley for the ARC! The book is a simple and I really liked the first book. This one didn't hit like the first one did. It just felt like a man was trying to validate what it is to be a women. It was fine (I guess).

This was a simple, fast read. It wasn’t the kind of read that required much from the reader and I kinda like to put in some brain power (especially when it comes to poetry). This felt more like a book of affirmations, centering love, relationships, and self. There were a few pieces that really caught my attention and made me pause, but I breezed through it for the most part. That’s not to say I didn’t enjoy it because I do plan on rereading it. And I’m contemplating getting the first two volumes.

ARC given by NetGalley for honest review:
I was immediately taken aback due to the preface by the author regarding why he felt it necessary to write of the female perspective. The author states he’s a “great observer” of the female life, but I vehemently disagree. Just because you have encountered countless women, does not suddenly enable you to truly see or understand what being a women is like.
The author does state he does not consider himself to be a great poet, which is something we can both agree upon given the subject matter.
For the most part, the authors words seem to fall flat.
Many of the pages are micro poems alike to that of a social media caption. In this “collection” it is hard to find true depth.

I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers, so here it is.
Its simplicity is what makes the book - if you’re one to read between the lines and read little nuggets of a book, and sit with it to reflect, I’d recommend this book. However, do not go into expecting life changing quotes/poems.
