This book fucking sucked. I only finished it to read the next 2 but not even sure if I wanna read it anymore at this point.

First of all, it's so fucking long. So the "I'm insecure," drama lasted about 50% of this book??? I actually started skim reading at the 58% mark and I'm 99% certain I didn't miss anything important.

Next, the I'm small he's big discussion ALL THE FUCKING TIME. How many times are you gonna mention that she's so "small" and "petite" and "short". Istg short people irl don't make it their entire personalities like book ppl do (I would know, I'm a short girly).

Both mc are insufferable. That's about it, they both annoyed me and I barely ever liked them or rooted for them.

Rapey vibes with the "Carter doesn't take no for an answer" LIKE DO YOU HEAR YOURSELVES?

DNF AT 53%

OMG THIS BOOK IS MAKING ME SO MAD

1. It's too damn long, I'm sorry I know I might sound like an hypocrite because I have enjoyed bigger romance books, but this one just fucking annoyed me because there was like zero plot? Like I know this is a sports romance but, it could have something going on besides just their relationship?

2. This was probably the only book that absolutely grated on my nerves about the whole small fmc trope, because why did I tab at least 10 references to her height such as "exceptionally small" "tiny" "half my size" "little legs" "little thing" "can you even reach the net (volleyball)" "PINT-SIZED"

3. Hate to say it but Carter is annoying ( and not in a cute way) and they make an annoying couple. There I've said it.

However, I might give the second book a chance because I know it's different characters and I'm hoping it's better then this.
