This is perfect bedtime reading. It leaves you with a dreamy, wistful feeling, like its an epilogue to all the Middle Earth books you read. I know it's all too predictable that I loved a book with Tolkien's name in the cover, but this is exceptionally lovely. I definitely enjoyed it more than The Fall of Arthur. And the illustrations, as can be surmised from the cover, are gorgeous.

Gorgeous little book! Bilbo's last words, in verse, as he leaves the Grey Havens give you all the feels. :) And the illustrations depict scenes from both The Hobbit and LOTR and are just beautiful. There are something like 40 illustrations in this short book and it's worth getting just for those.

This book is literally a picture book of the verse from Bilbo’s walking song that has changed over the course of the books and the events, the verse being sung in Rivendell when the hobbits return victorious in the end of The Return of The King, and it could also be interpreted as a picture book of Bilbo’s adventures in The Hobbit (There And Back Again), but I loved it!

A lovely little send off to Bilbo's story. I thought it was a bit of a stretch to release such a short poem as it's own book but then I read the story of how Tolkien gifted the copyright to his secretary near the end of his life which is extremely heart-warming, so I'll let them off.
