♪ His favourite colour to hear is Violet Blue and her voice was Violet Blue ♪
This is a big read the trigger warnings kind of book. I wasn't prepared for some of what came.
This book was heartbreaking to put it frankly. I knew this was going to be a sad book going into it but I honestly wasn't prepared for how truly heartbreaking it was. Although it would be considered a HEA it really wasn't for me. My heart broke for all of the characters involved in this story. As the MFC I don't know how I would feel going on with my life post what she went through.
I found the concepts and description of synesthesia to be very interesting.
At times I felt that there were too many 'problems' happening at once. They then weren't really fleshed out to give you all the answers you wanted.
It took me about 100 pages to get into the book. The first 100 pages were quite different to follow and were honestly not hooking me at all. The writing improved a lot as the book went on. However, at around 100 pages I was intrigued and couldn't put the book down.
Would I read it again? probably not but I'm not disappointed that I did read it. Overall it was a 3 star book for me.

"There's not a part that I regret."
Tillie Cole has done it again and made me sob like a baby. A Wish For Us is a standalone contemporary romance about love, loss and music and completely full of heartbreak. It filled with so much beauty but yet so emotional at the same time.
We follow nineteen-year-old Cromwell Dean who is a gifted musician, composer and EDM DJ and when he is partnered up with Bonnie Farraday who is composer and performer, it sends Cromwell's work rocking. They are both broken but together they make the perfect harmony. I can't say anything more without giving spoilers away.
If you've read A Thousand Boy Kisses then you will some similarity within the characters and the plot to some degree but that's where the similarities finish. A Thousand Boy Kisses was torture and heartache from the start to end, whereas A Wish For Us is more impactful. The writing in the latter is so beautiful and had me wishing I could see the colors the way Cromwell can.
I still highly recommend if you want to feel pain and suffering. I will be suing Tillie Cole for emotional damage for breaking my heart once again. I was just beginning to get over A Thousand Boy Kisses then I make the mistake of reading this and it came all back again. I highly suggest going into this book blind and don't go looking for spoilers. Just trust me on this. You need it to experience it without knowing anything. However, I do recommend looking at the trigger warnings first just in case.
