Very easy to figure out who Everlee’s father is - and I never figure things out in books!
The story was just absolutely ridiculous - dropping a child off without any explanation and changing her name. The Donovan bit in the story was not wrapped up well - way too abrupt.
So many of the characters were just completely irrational. I couldn’t stand Liz the entirety of the book either. Ethan was the only character with somewhat redeeming qualities.

I initially felt unmoved by this, but by the end of the book, I could not turn the pages fast enough and had grown truly attached to all of the characters. Liz in particular is a wonderful character; she experiences so much growth over the course of the story that I went from loathing her to loving her in less than 400 pages. And while the "mystery" surrounding Everlee/Lucy isn't too tough to figure out (even for me, who is notoriously bad at this kind of thing), there are some solid twists and turns, not to mention plenty of suspense. I'll have to check out more books by this author.
Minor: Child abuse, Sexual assault, and Sexual violence
