This was my first Marquez book, and it definitely won't be my last. I fell in love with his writing, characters, and the magic of the world he creates. I find short stories frustrating as I feel I can never connect fully to them, but somehow Marquez's characters felt real to me after a few pages. As always, I would have loved each short to be a full length novel, but that only makes me excited to read his novels in the future.

Very touching, enchanting, and sad.
It's stories like these where half of me hopes they're based in fact, and the other half hopes they're simple fiction.
