I normally love anything by Jane Green. This however was entirely too contrived and full of cliches. I did like some of the characters but they were all fairly superficial. Still, not a terrible read if hire looking for something easy, fast, and pretty mindless.

I got the book because of the 65 year old protagonist and am not disappointed in her character. Overall, the writing is formulaic--almost like reading a story board. The plus is that the descriptions of life in the natural beauty of Nantucket made the book worth while for this reader.

A fine little beach read. The lives of a dozen people or so fall apart. They meet at the summerhouse. Happy endings ensue.

There were a LOT of characters in this book and the POV often switched within a paragraph making it confusing to follow, especially via audiobook. The story was fairly predictable and a few storylines wrapped up somewhat abruptly. An enjoyable enough summer listen though.

The story itself was okay although the writing was hard to follow because it switched story lines sometimes as little as every few paragraphs. It Felt like I was reading a lifetime move plot.

I enjoyed getting to know all of the characters in this book by Jane Green. They all had their issues and I loved how after getting to know them individually they were all brought together. Nan was a wonderful matriarch and I loved how clever and loving she was throughout the book. An easy beach read! ;)
